Description

Mastervolt combines both ‘starter’ and ‘service’ functions into this single 12V semi-traction AGM battery. As a starter battery it serves for delivering short bursts of high current and as power source for bow thrusters, sidethrusters, winches, etc. As a service battery it is intended for cyclical use, e.g. for on board lighting and navigation. The AGM battery is simple to install anywhere on board, such as next to the bilge or in the engine room.

Special battery cases or external ventilation is usually unnecessary as natural ventilation will suffice. A sealed system means that each and every battery is maintenance-free. Gas formed during charging is transformed to water by means of re-combination, so that you never need to top up the battery with water. The batteries perform in very warm or cold conditions, as well as after idle periods such as during winter storage.
